Over the weekend I had the honor of being a part of the pre-launch party celebration for the twenty-first issue of Lumina Journal, as my piece, “Shrimp Tails,” will be featured in the upcoming publication! This was such an exciting opportunity. I traveled down to NYC for the weekend and spent the evening at Jade Bar, where I—along with a dozen of the other contributors—read my story for the crowd. A lovely contributor was kind enough to film my reading, which I have included below! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed getting in front of an audience. Perhaps some open mic nights in my future?… Regardless, I hope that others enjoy this story, and I will post an update when Lumina is live!
