My micro fiction piece, “Depths of Winter,” is now available in Rock Salt Journal! This is a reprinted story that was originally published in the 2024 Summer Issue of the Maine Natural History Observer. It is a seasonally appropriate piece and I hope that others enjoy! It can be found at this link.

“Shrimp Tails” — Lumina Journal
My piece, “Shrimp Tails,” is now live in the 21st volume of Lumina Journal! It has been a joy to work with this publication over the last few months. Though I was not able to attend their launch party on Thursday, I had a wonderful time at their pre-launch last month in New York City, where I was honored to read my story for the Lumina gathering at Jade Bar. My piece—as well as many other amazing stories and poems!—can be found at the link below.

“Growing House” — Apple Valley Review
When it rains, it pours! Another new story of mine is out: “Growing House” has been published in Apple Valley Review. I think this is a wonderful publication and I feel so lucky that my work has found a home in it. AVR has chosen some excellent pieces for this issue, and I encourage everyone to check them out. My story can be found at this link.
“At the Auction House” — Fractured Lit
I am so so thrilled to announce that my flash fiction story, “At the Auction House,” has just been published in Fractured Lit! It is such an honor to be in this prestigious publication, and I hope that this piece resonates with others. It was a joy to write! It is available at this link.
My piece, “Fat Boy,” is now available in the Maine Organic Farmer and Gardener, the official publication of Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA). The piece can be found on pages six-seven. This story details one of my family’s experiences with “Pests”—the theme for this issue. It has been published in the physical edition as well as online. It can be found by clicking this link! I have included a picture of Fat Boy Junior below.
“Waiting for Change” — Gargoyle Magazine
My flash fiction piece, “Waiting for Change,” is now available to read in Gargoyle Magazine! I am honored to have been featured in this publication, especially because of its connection to George Washington University, as my mother attended for her freshman year of college. I hope that others enjoy this story (like many of my works, it is meant to be both lighthearted and dark), and that they check out some of the other pieces in this issue. Happy reading!
Over the weekend I had the honor of being a part of the pre-launch party celebration for the twenty-first issue of Lumina Journal, as my piece, “Shrimp Tails,” will be featured in the upcoming publication! This was such an exciting opportunity. I traveled down to NYC for the weekend and spent the evening at Jade Bar, where I—along with a dozen of the other contributors—read my story for the crowd. A lovely contributor was kind enough to film my reading, which I have included below! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed getting in front of an audience. Perhaps some open mic nights in my future?… Regardless, I hope that others enjoy this story, and I will post an update when Lumina is live!
Forty-Eight Four Thousand Footers
Happy to announce that I have just received my Appalachian Mountain Club membership letter and my forty-eight four thousand footers patch! I am so proud to be a member of this group, and look forward to (barring any accidents!) completing the sixty-seven highest of New England list later this year. Wishing everyone success as we get closer to the warmer weather and ideal hiking season.
“Preening” — miniMAG
A piece of mine, “Preening,” is now available to read online in miniMAG! This is a short story I wrote over this summer and I am so pleased that it has found a home in this publication. It can be found at the following link. I hope that others enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed the process of writing the story.
A letter that I wrote advocating for a ban of coyote killing contests in Maine has just been published in the Portland Press Herald! I wrote this as part of a letter writing campaign by the volunteers for Maine Friends of Animals, as banning coyote killing contests is one of the organizations’ main focuses for this year. The letter can be found at this link, and is also linked on the Maine Environmental News website. I hope that this helps to bring more attention to this issue, even if others do not share my same views on the subject. It is important for the public in Maine to be educated about.
