Hello!
My name is Madison Ellingsworth. I am a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I enjoy long distance running and hiking. I also love to travel. Over the last several years I have visited seventeen countries, not including my home country of the United States. These countries are:

I record my travels for my friends and family, and upload these videos to my YouTube channel.
I have followed a strict vegetarian diet for the last four years, and feel passionate about the rights of animals. I volunteer with a Maine-based animal rights group, Maine Friends of Animals. I also volunteer with a few other nature-focused groups, including Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and Portland Trails.
I am an editor who also writes short stories. Some of these stories have been published. A list of my past and future publications can be found on this website.
I also love watching movies and reading books. Some of my favorite recent watches have been After Hours (Martin Scorsese), American Fiction (Cord Jefferson), Dreams (Akira Kurosawa), and Gattaca (Andrew Niccol). A few of my favorite recent reads are the Red Rising series (Pierce Brown), Psalm for the Wild-Built (Becky Chambers), The Neil Gaiman Reader (Neil Gaiman), and Local Deities (Agnes Bushell).
