“Scales”

Posted on April 23, 2021April 23, 2021 by madisonellingsworth

For a class final project I created a snaking sculpture, “Scales,” made entirely out of spoons and hot glue. It was started right before the transition to online learning in March 2020, and took about three weeks to create. I positioned it in nature because I wanted to create the illusion that it was some sort of living, alien creature. This piece was accepted into the University of Southern Maine’s 2020 Juried Student Exhibition, which was presented virtually.
